In Kingdom Hearts 1, you can gather thunder shards that increase your magic. In KH1.5, the only place to farm them is in Wonderland Castle; if you’re stuck on where to get more, read this guide!
The Yellow Opera and White Mushroom Heartless, as well as Bambi’s summon in Deep Jungle, may drop Thunder Shards.
Neverland is the finest spot to harvest a lot of thunder shards.
There’s just one way out of this level, so go to Neverland at the first save point in Hull (The Brig). As you go through it, a slew of Yellow Opera will appear for you to choose from. Take them all out, collect the drops, then exit the planet through the save place and re-enter to continue the process.
Where Can I Get Thunder Shards? (All Options)
Thunder Shards may be found in a variety of locations throughout the game. Operas in Yellow are the easiest to farm, followed by Mushrooms, White (if you cast any Thunder spell on them during their third spell, you’ll get a Thunder Shard).
But first, let’s look at all of our possibilities.
These floaty thunder clouds may be found all throughout your game. They can be found throughout Traverse Town, Agrabah, Wonderland, Monstro, Hollow Bastion, Neverland, and the End of the World, so it’s difficult to avoid them.
They have an 8% chance of dropping a Thunder Shard (6 percent in Final Mix), and these will be your best hope for farming.
Technically, you may farm them in any of the realms indicated above (but Wonderland — within the Lotus Forest – is an excellent option as well).
The Neverland Brig save site, on the other hand, is the finest place to cultivate Yellow Opera. Simply enter the ship’s Hold and remove all the Yellow Operas, then leave the planet and return to continue farming.
These uncommon heartless may be found in certain areas throughout several planets.
They’ll play a game of charades with various gestures associated with a certain spell. To “win” their game, you need to perform the magic they’re hinting at. To earn the most prizes, hit them three times.
If you perform a Thunder spell on these White Mushrooms last, they will drop a thunder shard 100% of the time.
Bambi is a fictional character created by Bambi (Deep Jungle)
Bambi’s charge gauge will be filled by summoning it in Deep Jungle and destroying foes while it’s on the field. The more you fill his gauge, the more he’ll drop when called.
If you fill it up three times, Bambi will drop a Thunder Shard 60 percent of the time (20 percent in Final Mix). If the gauge is only full twice, he’ll have a 40% chance of dropping one (20% in Final mix).
This strategy is only applicable in Deep Jungle. Bambi’s drop table alters if you call him on different planets. For Bambi to drop Thunder Shards, you’ll need to battle in the following areas:
– Cliff – Treehouse – Bamboo Thicket – Camp (outside the tent)
Uses of Thunder Shard
Thunder Shards are utilized in a few synthesis techniques and may be used to generate a variety of useful items:
In combat, Elixir: Full heals a character’s HP and MP. Brew one using x2 Blaze Shards, x2 Frost Shards, x2 Thunder Shards, and x4 Mythril Shards from List I. (KH1 only).
There is an Elixir formula in KH1.5 Remix that does not need Thunder Shards.
Guard Earring: There’s no such thing as too much AP, so why not give yourself an additional +3 AP and +1 Defense?
x3 Spirit Shards and x1 Thunder Shards may be used to make this item using List I. (KH1 only). These elements aren’t required for KH1.5 Remix.
Magic Amulet: A beginner’s magic gear that gives you +1 MP and boosts your summoning and magic abilities. Make it using x3 Blaze Shards, x3 Frost Shards, x3 Thunder Shards, and x2 Mythril Shards from List II (KH1 only).
This can be done using List I and x3 Blaze Shards, x3 Frost Shards, and x3 Thunder Shards in KH1.5 Remix.
Three Stars: Gain +20 percent resistance to fire, blizzard, and thunder assaults, as well as an additional +3 protection against the powers of darkness.
List III (x3 Blaze Shards, x3 Frost Shards, x3 Thunder Shards, x1 Orichalcum, and x1 Shiny Crystal) may be used to make this (KH1 only).
This formula does not need Thunder Shards in Kingdom Hearts 1.5.
Mega-Ether: Restore 3 MP to each member of your team. List II and x1 Blaze Shard, x1 Frost Shard, x1 Thunder Shard, and x2 Mythril are required for KH1.5 Remix.
The original KH1 recipe differs in that it does not call for Thunder Shards.
With +6 HP and +2 Defense, the Angle Bangle provides heavenly protection. List II may be used to make this using x3 Thunder Shards and x1 Bright Gem (only KH1.5). Thunder Shards aren’t used in this version of the game.
With an additional +2 MP, +2 Defense, and improved magic/summon power, the Atlas Amulet will help you become a greater magician. With List IV and x5 Blaze Shards, x5 Frost Shards, x5 Thunder Shards, x1 Mystery Goo, and x3 Dark Matter, you can build it in KH1.5 Remix.
Is it Worth Farming Thunder Shards?
Thunder Shards are simple to get by, and they grow rather plentiful as you progress.
So simply by playing the game, you’ll probably build up a lot of points.
Farming them, on the other hand, should be a breeze.
All you’d have to do is eliminate Yellow Opera groups anytime you see them.
They’re swarming the chamber close to the Ship’s Brig checkpoint in Neverland, as previously noted. However, keep an eye out for additional regions in other planets (one good alternative is running through the Lotus Forest in Wonderland).
And since the things you may make with these shards vary from decent to outstanding, collecting a large number of them is always a smart idea.
